These Terms govern your use of canistestis.com and any assessment or certification service provided by Canis Testis.

1. About us

Canis Testis provides independent assessment and certification of working dogs. We are based in the Netherlands and operate internationally.

2. What our service is

We assess dogs against a published protocol covering health, temperament, and capability. We issue a written report and, where applicable, a certification.

3. What our service is not

• We do not sell, breed, or train dogs for sale.
• We do not take commission from any seller, breeder, or agent.
• Our report describes the dog at the time of assessment. It is not a guarantee of future behaviour.
• We do not provide veterinary treatment or legal advice.

4. Client responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information about the dog
• Disclose known health, behavioural, or bite history
• Ensure safe access to the dog for assessment
• Pay agreed fees before the report is issued

5. Fees and payment

Fees are agreed in writing before assessment. Payment terms are stated on the invoice. We may suspend or withhold a report until payment is received.

6. Reports and certificates

Reports are issued in the name of Canis Testis and signed by the named assessor(s). Certificates remain our property and may be revoked if new information shows the assessment was based on false or incomplete information.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, Canis Testis is not liable for:

• Behaviour of any dog before, during, or after assessment
• Decisions made by you or any third party based on our report
• Indirect or consequential loss

Our total liability is limited to the fee paid for the specific assessment.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, images, protocols, reports, and the Canis Testis name and mark — is our property or used with permission. You may not reproduce it without written consent.

9. Third-party links

We are not responsible for the content of external sites we link to.

10. Applicable law

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be heard in the courts of the Netherlands.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
